Juice - Rock Band Indio Concert reviews
Great bands - shaky sound system
Great entertainment from both bands. There was a definite change in sound systems between bands. Juice - Rock Band was a step up in the Musicianship from Gin Blossoms although great to hear familiar songs. The Blossoms had a very thin sound with little bass and some echo. Partially due to large cement floor in front of stage. But volume, bass, and mix although tight was lacking. Almost as if they used a sound system meant for bar scene. Juice - Rock Band Engineer had way too much bass, but overall sound was fatter and solid compared to first act. If touring together perhaps to save time and present a seamless sound, maybe use same board and same engineer.
Silver VIP tickets were kinda cheese ball, as a 25th year coin and a luggage tag were disappointing. Would have preferred a CD or two. Be cautious trying to get best seats up front closest to stage as first few rows visibility is blocked by people on the floor. Best to be up around row 5 or above.
I liked it when lead singer brought out his son to sing. Song came off perfectly. Perhaps the best song of the night was when the lead singer for Blossoms came out and sang with Juice - Rock Band. Also enjoyed the songs with 12-string and the finally walking off stage playing.
Overall good show, would have preferred seeing them at a House of Blues where acoustics are better.
